The medicine briefly loosens the grip of the usual mental traffic, and from there you can meet your own experience from a new angle. Things you've known intellectually for years can land somewhere deeper. That shift is where the opportunity lives, and it's what we build the work around.
Ketamine is a legal medicine with psychedelic properties. It has been used in hospitals as an anesthetic for decades, and at lower doses it can shift how you experience your own thoughts and feelings in a way we can work with therapeutically.
The work happens in three parts:
We go over different ways to approach your sessions and the kinds of experiences you might have.
You'll be in my office, comfortable, with optional eye shades and music. Most people turn their attention inward. Some of it is visual, some emotional, some quiet and hard to put words to. You might be silent the entire time, or you might prefer to narrate as it happens. There's no one right way. What makes the difference is the setting and having someone with you who knows how to stay with you through it. I'm with you the entire time.
Some of it happens before you leave the office, as the medicine wears off and you start finding words for it. The rest happens on a different day, at a session set aside for exactly that. We take what came up during and between your sessions and translate it into your actual life.
This work is offered as a package. Seven sessions in all, in a deliberate order.
Before starting, ketamine-assisted therapy requires a medical clearance appointment ($250 to $400) billed separately by my medical prescribing partner.
The first step is a free 15-minute call. No forms, nothing to prepare. You tell me what's drawing you toward this work, ask whatever is on your mind, and together we figure out whether it's the right next step.
